Traveler Terms of Agreement
By using this website or booking travel services through JTB International Canada Ltd. ("we" or "our"), you agree to the following terms. All travelers in your party should be made aware of these terms. This agreement is intended to comply with the laws of British Columbia and the standards set by Consumer Protection BC.
- Responsibility
We act solely as an agent for airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel service providers. We do not control or guarantee the quality, safety, or performance of these providers. Any claims regarding service failure, delay, or misconduct must be directed to the service provider. We do not make any representations or warranties regarding third-party services, and are not liable for any errors, omissions, or misrepresentations made by suppliers. Travelers acknowledge that our agency provides booking facilitation only.
- Travel Risks
Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, accidents, natural disasters, crime, civil unrest, or other unforeseeable events. We do not have special knowledge of foreign entry requirements, unsafe conditions, or accessibility limitations. Travelers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. For official travel guidance, refer to travel.state.gov and CDC Travel. Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and loss of personal property is strongly recommended.
- Refunds and Cancellations
Airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, and other providers may impose cancellation fees, non-refundable deposits, or penalties that can reach 100% of the fare or package cost. Under BC law, travelers retain rights to refunds or compensation in cases of major service failure or supplier insolvency. Always review supplier policies prior to booking. Refunds may be subject to processing time and administrative fees.
- Delays
Airlines and other transport providers are not obligated to reimburse incidental expenses, such as meals, lodging, or local transportation, during delays. Travelers are responsible for planning contingencies for such situations.
- Itinerary Review
Upon receipt of your itinerary, carefully check all details including dates, times, accommodation, and transportation. Report any discrepancies immediately to our agency for verification.
- Reconfirmation
We strongly recommend reconfirming flights, trains, cruises, and other transportation prior to departure due to potential schedule changes. Failure to reconfirm may result in missed connections or travel disruptions.
- Package Tours
Deposits, final payments, and cancellation policies vary by supplier. Our agency acts solely as a booking intermediary and does not endorse any specific service provider. Travelers are responsible for understanding the terms of their package and supplier obligations.
- Charter Services
Charter flights may be subject to last-minute changes in departure times, routes, or aircraft. Frequent flyer miles may not apply, and strict cancellation policies often apply. Travelers are advised to check terms carefully.
- Payment
Full payment is required prior to issuance of tickets or travel documents. Delayed payment may result in cancellation of reservations.
- Unused Tickets and Coupons
We cannot guarantee that unused flight coupons or tickets will be honored by airlines. Travelers agree to indemnify our agency from any claims, losses, or disputes related to unused tickets or fare differences.
- Foreign Currency and Pricing
Prices and currency exchange rates are provided for reference only and may change daily. Additional taxes, fees, and surcharges imposed by suppliers may apply.
- Website Information
All content on this website is for personal use only. Commercial resale, redistribution, or unauthorized copying is prohibited. Third-party links are for convenience and do not imply endorsement. Information is subject to change without notice.
- Power of Attorney
By booking travel services through our agency, you authorize us to sign necessary documents to issue tickets, hotel reservations, or other travel services on your behalf. You remain responsible for all transactions executed under this authorization.
- Consumer Protection & Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Travelers may seek assistance or file complaints through Consumer Protection BC. Disputes not resolved via Consumer Protection BC may be handled by the courts of British Columbia. Nothing in this agreement limits your statutory rights under BC consumer protection laws.
