Validity

A seat reservation on ordinary cars allow unlimited times.

●*Reserved/Non-reserved seat on Sanyo Shinkansen incl. Nozomi and Mizuho between Shin-Osaka and Okayama.

●The pass can be used for the "Hello Kitty Shinkansen".

●*Reserved/Non-reserved seat on Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Joetsu-Myoko.

●*Reserved/Non-reserved seats on Express Trains.
 -Haruka -Kuroshio -Thunderbird -Kounotori -Super Hakuto between Kyoto and Kamigori.

●Non-reserved seat on JR local trains incl. Rapid and Special Raid service train, Kyoto Tango Railway and Wakayama Electric Railway.  

*A separate ticket is required for seat reservations.
*A separate ticket is required for Super Hokuto/Inaba between Kamigori and Totori.
*The pass invalid for Tokaido Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Tokyo.
*The pass invalid for Sanyo Shinkansen between Hiroshima and Hakata.
*The pass invalid for Hokuriku Shinkansen between Joetsu-Myoko and Tokyo.
*The pass invalid for the IR Ishikawa Railway or the Ainokaze Toyama Railway.
- As a special exception, the pass can be used for the Himi, Johana, or Nanao lines only if the pass- holder does not alight from the IR Ishikawa Railway between Kanazawa and Tsubata or the Ainokaze Toyama Railway betwen Takaoka and Toyama.
- If using the Ainokaze Liner rapid service on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway, a separate "liner fare" is required.

Valid Period

7-Day pass allows you to choose the starting date and can be used for 7 consecutive days from the starting date.

Eligibility for use

Only a foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad for sight-seeing, under the entry status of "temporary visitor."Japanese passport holders or Japanese residents cannot be used.

How to turn in an Exchange Order to receive a Pass

After arriving in Japan, please exchange your Exchange Order for the Kansai-Hokuriku Area Pass at the designated counters. Please present your passport with the "Temporary Visitor" stamp/sticker. (You cannot use a copy of your passport etc.)

*The counters can be very crowded during tourist season. Please leave extra time for receiving the rail pass.
*Business days and hours are subject to change during the New Year holidays etc.
